Therald N. "T.N." Jensen, was born in Manti, Utah, on November 20, 1908. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served on a mission in Great Britain before attending Snow College and the University of Utah, from which he received a law degree. Jensen also earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Chicago. He married Bonnie Stevens in Chicago in March 1937.
